Mahant Raju Das seeks worship rights at Gyanvapi

Mahant Raju Das of Ayodhya’s Hanumangarhi has requested permission from the Indian and Uttar Pradesh governments to perform ‘Jalabhishek’ (ritual water offering) to Lord Shiva at the Gyanvapi complex on Mondays. He argued that if prayers are permitted at the site, Hindu ascetics should also be granted the right to perform worship.

Additionally, Das welcomed the legal clearance given to former Ram Mandir Trust officials Champat Rai and Anil Mishra regarding allegations of financial irregularities. He described the exoneration as a “slap in the face” to those he claimed were attempting to malign the Ram Mandir and undermine the faith of Sanatanis through conspiracy and false allegations.
