Maharashtra engineering admissions: CAP Round 3 results and new B.Voc entry route

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell is advancing the engineering admission process for the 2026 academic year. The results for the Direct Second Year (DSE) Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Round 3 are scheduled for release on August 25. Selected students must complete the admission process by August 28. For this round, candidates assigned to one of their first six preferred choices must accept the seat, while those assigned to other preferences may opt for betterment.

Additionally, a new admission route has been introduced for the 2026-27 academic year. This allows eligible Bachelor of Vocation (B. Voc) graduates to enter the final year of Engineering or Technology programmes directly through a one-year duration programme. Registration for this route is open from August 20 to August 31, 2026, with document verification required by September 1. This initiative provides B. Voc graduates an alternative to the traditional four-year degree path.
