Maharashtra FDA receives responses from actors regarding Vimal Elaichi ads

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has received responses from actors Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff regarding notices issued over their promotion of Vimal Elaichi. The regulator is investigating whether the advertisements constitute surrogate marketing, which involves using a different product to indirectly promote pan masala—a substance subject to manufacturing and sale prohibitions in Maharashtra.

While Devgn and Shroff have submitted their replies, the FDA is still awaiting a response from Shah Rukh Khan. The agency is currently reviewing the submitted answers to determine if the advertisements and associated claims comply with the Advertising and Claims Regulations of 2018. Further action will be taken once the investigation is complete.
