Maharashtra government launches new digital services and AI platforms
The Maharashtra government has introduced several new digital initiatives aimed at increasing transparency, efficiency, and accountability in administrative processes. During a review meeting held at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched new services on the ‘MahaIndus’ platform.
These initiatives include MahaDBT 2.0, MAITRI 2.0, and Aaple Sarkar 2.0. A key component of this digital push is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and a unified database to better identify eligible beneficiaries for government schemes. By using AI, the state aims to streamline the distribution of benefits, ensure they reach the correct individuals, and identify ineligible recipients to reduce waste.
To date, more than 10 million ‘Maha IDs’ have been created as part of these efforts to modernize governance and reduce unnecessary hurdles for citizens seeking government services.
