Maharashtra government releases 344.74 crore for Ladki Bahin scheme

The Maharashtra state government has approved the release of 344.74 crore to fund the July instalment of the ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme. This specific allocation is designated for eligible women within the Scheduled Caste component for the 2026-27 financial year.

Under the Scheduled Caste Special Component Programme, a total of 3,000 crore has been sanctioned for the scheme. The funds have been transferred to the Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department to facilitate direct disbursement into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries. The department is tasked with scrutinizing registrations to ensure benefits reach only those in the Scheduled Caste and Neo-Buddhist categories.
