Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana faces technical delays in payments
Beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana in Maharashtra are facing challenges regarding the disbursement of financial aid due to technical issues. Many women have seen their installments stalled because of incomplete e-KYC processes, portal errors, or bank accounts not being linked to Aadhaar.
In response to these difficulties, there are calls for the government to extend the e-KYC deadline and organize assistance camps in rural areas to help women navigate technical requirements. Additionally, there are requests to allow new applications for women who have recently turned 21 and to re-examine applications that were disqualified due to minor administrative or tax-related technicalities.
Despite these hurdles, there is anticipation that the state government may release a combined payment of ₹3,000 for the months of July and August before the Raksha Bandhan festival. The scheme provides ₹1,500 per month to eligible women aged 21 to 65 with an annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
