Maharashtra leaders Raj and Uddhav Thackeray denounce BJP over arrogance and alleged Ram Mandir fund misuse

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray used X to accuse the BJP’s central leadership and state chief minister Devendra Fadnavis of growing arrogance. He said the party was shielding leaders who made insensitive remarks, citing a viral video of BJP MLA Ameet Satam appearing to laugh about recent monsoon deaths, and urged the chief minister to demand resignations.

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray announced a "Ram Raksha Andolan" protest, claiming the BJP had stolen donations from Ram Mandir cash boxes. He called for a statewide gathering of Ram devotees on Sunday, describing the movement as the start of a larger mobilisation to hold the ruling party accountable. The slogan "Ab Hindu maaf nahi karega" was repeated to stress that Hindus will not forgive alleged corruption.
