Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test Paper Leak Investigation Expands
Maharashtra Minister Pankaj Rajesh Bhoyar announced that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak will soon release further details. The exam, scheduled for June 28 across 1,028 centres, was halted after police received intelligence three days before the test that the paper was being leaked for sale.
Police detained three suspects initially, followed by four more arrests, and three additional arrests on July 4, bringing the total to seven. The SIT has uncovered an inter‑state network and identified a resident of Bihar as the alleged mastermind. The Maharashtra State Council of Examination postponed the TET pending the investigation, and the court remanded the latest three accused to police custody until July 9.
