Maharashtra Tourism Showcases MICE Strength at WOW Awards Asia 2026

The Department of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, participated as the principal partner at the 17th WOW Awards Asia 2026 held on 3‑4 July at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The event, which draws delegates, exhibitors and buyers from more than 25 countries, was used to promote Maharashtra’s capabilities in meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) and destination weddings. Senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Khandare, IAS, and Director Mangesh Joshi, IAS, inaugurated the ceremony and highlighted the state’s investment in world‑class infrastructure, public‑private partnerships and sustainable growth. A featured session, “India’s Rise as a Global Meetings Destination: Infrastructure, Ambition & Opportunity,” was presented by Maharashtra Tourism to drive conversations on the future of the Indian MICE sector.
