Mahershala Ali officially moves on from Marvel's Blade
Actor Mahershala Ali has announced that he has officially moved on from his role as Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In an interview with GQ, Ali indicated that his involvement with the project has ended, stating, "If they wanted to do it, we would've done it."
Ali noted that he had undergone extensive physical training to prepare for the character, but the effort went unused. He expressed dissatisfaction with how the project concluded, particularly following the departure of the original director in 2022. Despite the setbacks with the Marvel project, Ali has reunited with director Bassam Tariq for a new film titled 'Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother'.
