Mahesh Babu celebrates 51st birthday in Hyderabad

Telugu film star Mahesh Babu will mark his 51st birthday on Sunday, 9 August 2026. Born on 9 August 1975 in Chennai, he is popularly called the “Prince of Tollywood.” He began his lead‑actor career in 1999 with the film “Raja Kumarudu” and has appeared in more than 40 movies over two decades. In addition to acting, he runs his own production house, is known as a family man, and donates about 30 % of his earnings to charity. A statue of Babu is displayed at Madame Tussauds in Singapore, and he is one of the most‑followed South Indian stars on the social platform X.

He married actress Namrata Shirodkar in 2005 after meeting her on the set of “Vamshi” in 2000. Following their marriage, Shirodkar left acting. The couple lives in Hyderabad with their family and is preparing celebrations for the actor’s birthday.
