Mahindra Last Mile Mobility reaches 400,000 electric vehicle sales milestone
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has surpassed 400,000 cumulative electric vehicle (EV) sales, making it the first commercial EV manufacturer in India to reach this milestone. The company has maintained its status as India’s leading electric commercial vehicle manufacturer for four consecutive financial years.
Mahindra’s electric fleet, which includes the Treo range, UDO, Zor Grand, ZEO, and e-Alfa, has covered more than 9 billion kilometers. This usage has prevented approximately 185,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions, an environmental impact comparable to planting over 8.3 million trees.
Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, noted that last-mile mobility serves as a primary driver for India’s electric vehicle transition. He highlighted that electric three-wheelers are expected to achieve price parity with fossil-fuel alternatives more quickly due to intensive commercial use, which allows operators to offset higher acquisition costs through reduced daily running and maintenance expenses.
