Mahindra launches limited‑edition XUV 3XO Black Edition in Australia
Mahindra Australia has introduced the XUV 3XO Black Edition to mark the model’s first anniversary in the market. The limited‑run trim is capped at 300 units and is priced at AU$28,485 drive‑away, a AU$1,495 premium over the standard AX7L version.
The Black Edition adopts a stealthy aesthetic with Stealth Black exterior paint, a Matte Galvano Grey roof, gloss‑black 17‑inch alloy wheels, a black grille and exterior badging. Inside, the cabin receives black leatherette upholstery, matching trim, a panoramic ‘Skyroof’ sunroof, a 10.25‑inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25‑inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a Harman Kardon premium audio system.
Power is supplied by a 1.2‑litre turbocharged three‑cylinder petrol engine delivering 82 kW (200 Nm) to the front wheels via a six‑speed automatic transmission, with a claimed combined fuel consumption of 6.5 L/100 km. The XUV 3XO entered the Australian market as one of the country’s cheapest new SUVs, alongside the Chery Tiggo 4, and Mahindra also offers the XUV700 as the nation’s lowest‑priced seven‑seat SUV.
