Mahindra & Mahindra and NSE report robust Q1 earnings, stocks surge

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd posted a strong first‑quarter FY27 performance, with consolidated net profit rising 33.6% year‑on‑year to ₹5,454.54 crore and revenue from operations increasing 26.6% to ₹57,533.44 crore. The earnings boost drove the company's shares to jump more than 4% intra‑day, climbing from a low of ₹3,197.50 to a high of ₹3,327.

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) also reported a solid quarter, posting a net profit of ₹3,120 crore, up 7% YoY, and total income of ₹5,252 crore, up 9% YoY. Transaction‑related fees rose to ₹3,623 crore. In addition, the exchange resolved a decade‑old co‑location dispute with SEBI, clearing a major regulatory hurdle ahead of its planned IPO.

Both results were well received by investors, contributing to modest gains in India's broader equity market.
