Mahindra XUV 7XO earns 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating

The Mahindra XUV 7XO has achieved a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP for both adult and child occupant protection. The 7-seater SUV, tested in both FWD and AWD diesel-automatic versions, demonstrated high performance across multiple crash scenarios.

In adult occupant protection, the vehicle scored 30.76 out of 32 points. It achieved full marks in the side movable barrier test and high scores in the frontal offset crash test, providing good protection for heads and necks. While most lower-body protection was rated as good, the driver's tibia and chest received adequate ratings.

For child occupant protection, the XUV 7XO earned 44.97 out of 49 points. Testing involved 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies in rear-facing child seats. The vehicle received a perfect score for child-seat installation and performed strongly in dynamic child protection and side impact tests.

Standard safety features across all variants include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, hill-hold, hill-descent assist, and ISOFIX mounts. Higher-spec models also include Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and tire pressure monitoring systems.
