Mahmoud Basiri denies receiving financial gifts from Ahmadinejad lookalike rumors

Mahmoud Basiri, an actor known for his physical resemblance to former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has addressed rumors regarding financial support from the former leader. Basiri denied claims that Ahmadinejad provided him with a two-story house or a monthly salary.

Basiri stated that when he questioned Ahmadinejad about these rumors, the former president denied them entirely. The actor noted that while he did not receive significant financial aid, Ahmadinejad once gave him a single gold coin, an act Basiri described as a meaningful gesture of respect rather than a material benefit.
