Mahmud Esad Coşan tribute in Elazığ draws over 20,000 participants

The Mahmud Esad Coşan Foundation organized the fourth "Doğuş Azebler İşrak İbadeti" on the 91st Hijri birth anniversary of the late Prof. Dr. Mahmud Esad Coşan. The program was held on Cumhuriyet Meydanı in Elazığ, Turkey, beginning with a morning prayer, Quran recitation, zikr, and concluding with the sun‑rising (işrak) prayer.

Around 20,000 attendees gathered, including guests from Turkey and abroad—delegates reported from Australia, Uzbekistan and the United States. Highlights featured a drone light show, a video presentation of Coşan’s own speeches, and a temporary "Medeniyet Tüneli" exhibit. The foundation aims to honor Coşan’s legacy of Islamic scholarship and to rotate the event among Turkish cities each year.
