Maia Sandu receives credentials from five new ambassadors

President Maia Sandu of the Republic of Moldova has engaged in several diplomatic activities involving the recognition and decoration of foreign representatives.

Sandu received credentials from five newly appointed ambassadors. These include Joseph Mark Burkhalter of the United States, Nazmiye Başaran of Türkiye, Kevin Rex of Canada, Khalid Eid Alshammri of Saudi Arabia, and Ahmed Ouail of Algeria. While some ambassadors will be based in Chișinău, others will reside in Bucharest or Kyiv.

Additionally, the President conferred the ‘Order of Honor’ upon Asser Mortensen, the honorary consul of Moldova in Denmark, and Flavio Mendes Bitelman, the honorary consul in Brazil.
