Venezuelan infielder Maikel García has criticized the management of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), describing the winter circuit as lacking order and discipline. During a social media live stream, the Tiburones de La Guaira player highlighted safety concerns regarding the use of pyrotechnics in team dugouts.

García cited an incident during the championship series against Leones del Caracas, where improper use of small fireworks resulted in teammate Ehire Adrianza suffering a burn to his ear. García stated, “Baseball is a job, not a joke. The LVBP is a mess,” and called for stricter regulations to protect the physical integrity of athletes and ensure a professional working environment.
