Mailza proposes increased autonomy for State Comptroller

Mailza has proposed a government plan focused on increasing the autonomy of the State Comptroller General (Controladoria-Geral do Estado) and expanding transparency and oversight mechanisms. The proposal aims to strengthen internal controls, facilitate the monitoring of public investments, and encourage social participation in the management of public funds.

Key components of the plan include the creation of a State Project Office to plan, coordinate, and evaluate strategic investments and programs. The initiative also seeks to establish a permanent cooperative relationship with oversight institutions, such as the State Court of Accounts (Tribunal de Contas do Estado) and the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministério Público), to ensure information access and the protection of public interests.
