Main-Kinzig-Kreis grants 12,000 euros to Hanau vocational center
The Main-Kinzig-Kreis has provided a 12,000 euro subsidy to the Vocational Training and Technology Center (BTZ) of the Hanau District Crafts Association. First District Councilor Jannik Marquart presented the funds, emphasizing the importance of ensuring vocational training keeps pace with rapid technical developments.
Nicole Laupus, Managing Director of the District Crafts Association and head of the BTZ, noted that the center allows trainees to learn specialized skills that smaller companies may not be able to provide in-house.
In addition to the local subsidy, the BTZ is undergoing extensive modernization of its technical equipment through financial support from the German federal government and the European Union. Recent upgrades include a photovoltaic system and a charging station for the electrical workshop, as well as a heat pump for the sanitary sector, to support evolving industry standards and hybrid training models.
