Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate launches ‘Lista Na Ratunek’ emergency document

The Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate (GIF), in collaboration with the National Chamber of Medical Rescue Workers and under the patronage of the Supreme Pharmaceutical Chamber, has launched the ‘Lista Na Ratunek’ (Emergency List) project. This initiative provides a standardized document designed for patients to print, complete, and carry with them to assist medical personnel during emergencies.

The document serves as a simplified medical card containing critical information such as the patient's name, date of birth, and emergency contact details. It specifically includes lists of prescription medications with dosages, chronic illnesses, drug allergies, recent hospitalizations, medical implants, and even over-the-counter supplements or herbs that could impact treatment.

By providing immediate access to this data, the project aims to reduce the risk of medical errors and dangerous drug interactions when digital systems are inaccessible or when a patient is unable to communicate. The Patient Rights Ombudsman supports the initiative, noting its particular importance for seniors, the chronically ill, and those managing complex pharmacotherapy.
