Main Street Sports sues Comcast and Charter over unpaid fees

Main Street Sports has filed separate lawsuits in Delaware against Comcast Corporation and Charter Communications, alleging the distributors underpaid licensing fees for the carriage of its channels.

The litigation concerns payments owed during the early months of 2026, a period when the company’s regional sports networks were still broadcasting content, including NBA and NHL games, prior to a full business wind-down. The dispute centers on the interpretation of carriage contracts and whether distributors were entitled to reduce payments as the network’s programming schedule shifted or as the business began its dissolution process.

Main Street Sports, which emerged from bankruptcy last year after previously operating as Diamond Sports Group, has been working to restructure debt and recover outstanding receivables. The company ceased airing professional sports games on April 30, with distribution partners fully dropping its channels by the end of June.
