Maine authorities search for missing 78-year-old Douglas Dunphy

Authorities in Maine are continuing the search for 78-year-old Douglas Dunphy, who has been missing since January. The Hampden Police Department and the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit-North are leading the investigation.

Despite extensive searches of Dunphy’s Kennebec Road home and surrounding properties over the last seven months, no trace of him has been found. Law enforcement agencies, including the Maine Warden Service and Bangor police, have been working collaboratively on the case.

With hunting season beginning in Maine, state police are requesting that hunters and outdoor enthusiasts in the Hampden area remain vigilant and report any information that could assist in locating him. Dunphy is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes. His clothing at the time of his disappearance is unknown.
