Maine brothers release indie film ‘Saving Black Bear’

Brothers Nick and Cash Cassidy, from South Portland and Cape Elizabeth, have produced an independent film titled ‘Saving Black Bear’. The movie was filmed entirely in Maine, utilizing Black Bear Cinema in Orono as its primary location.

The plot follows a group of movie theater employees who unite to prevent the closure of their theater. The production features actor Xander Berkley. Following the success of their previous film, ‘Childish Things’, the brothers are conducting a screening tour across Maine, including dates in Portland and Orono.
