Maine resident discovers 1950s home movies on found VHS tape

A content creator in Maine, known on TikTok as @Saraheposts, discovered a VHS tape while moving into a colonial-era home built in 1792. The tape, found in a cabinet by her brother, was labeled ‘1953-1957 scenes from home then of X Family’.

Despite initial hesitation due to fears inspired by horror films, the woman watched the footage and found it contained only old home movies of children playing. She has since made contact with the rightful owners to return the recordings to the family.
