Maine's Camden Hills State Park and Bar Harbor Earn National Accolades
Outside Magazine named Camden Hills State Park the most underrated state park in Maine, highlighting its four‑season trails, the Mount Battie summit, an auto road for leaf‑peeping, and cross‑country ski routes. The magazine praised the park’s panoramic coastal views and its accessibility for hikers, bikers and runners.
Travel site Thrillist selected Bar Harbor as Maine’s best small town, noting its role as the gateway to Acadia National Park, its walkable downtown, seafood restaurants and craft‑beer scene, and a range of outdoor activities such as whale‑watching, sailing and coastal hikes. Thrillist wrote, "Never has a quainter New England seaside town existed, nor a better setting for a small‑town coming‑of‑age novel."
