Mainz-Kastel to host 10th Street Soccer Tournament for Tolerance

The 10th Street Soccer Tournament for Tolerance will take place on Thursday, September 17, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the TSG 1846 Mainz-Kastel district sports facility. The event brings together children and adolescents from various schools, institutions, and clubs, focusing on fair play, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence alongside athletic competition.

Organized by the Reduit Children, Youth and District Center in cooperation with the 2nd Police Station and TSG 1846 Mainz-Kastel, the tournament is supported by the Hessian Football Association's Fair-Play Forum and Sportjugend Hessen. The anniversary event will be opened by City Councilor Alexander Hofmann and Katrin Thaler, Vice President of the Westhessen Police Headquarters.

This year's tournament features a special initiative from the newly established Mainz-Kastel Children's Parliament. Following a proposal to provide affordable treats on hot days, the local district council has provided 300 euros to fund free ice cream for participating children via the 'Eis Toni' ice cream truck.
