Hagen: 18-year-old arrested for setting wheelchair user on fire
An 18-year-old woman has been arrested in Münster following a violent attack in Hagen-Helfe. According to investigators, the suspect allegedly poured a flammable liquid on a 67-year-old man in a wheelchair and set him on fire during a verbal dispute in a green area on Thursday evening.
Passersby intervened to extinguish the flames, preventing a fatal outcome. The victim sustained serious injuries but was not in life-threatening condition. Police report that the victim and the suspect were briefly acquainted in the past. A murder commission has taken over the investigation into the incident.
