Maipú councilman criticizes budget cuts to pet responsibility laws
Maipú councilman Juan Carlos Prado (UDI) has expressed strong opposition to a proposed 86% budget reduction for pet responsibility programs under the ‘Ley Cholito’. Prado argued that such a significant cut could disproportionately impact low-income families and rural municipalities that rely on municipal veterinary services.
During a recent interview, Prado also addressed various local and national issues, including public security, the functioning of the National Institute of Human Rights, municipal resource oversight, and the recent fire at the Municipal Theater.
