Maipú officials meet to discuss Municipal Theater fire and reconstruction

Following a fire at the Municipal Theater of Maipú, Emilia Malig, Chief of Staff for the Municipality of Maipú, convened a private meeting with local councilors and key directors. The meeting, held on behalf of Mayor Tomás Vodanovic, aimed to address infrastructure status, security measures, and subsequent steps following the incident.

Mayor Vodanovic has met with the Minister of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage, Francisco Undurraga, to discuss the reconstruction of a new cultural center. Preliminary estimates for the project include approximately 300 million pesos for demolition and over 400 million pesos for design. The total cost for the final construction is expected to exceed 13 billion pesos.
