Utility maintenance causes service cuts across South America

Various regions across South America are experiencing scheduled utility interruptions due to maintenance and infrastructure repairs.

In Colombia, Bogotá is facing significant water service suspensions in localities such as Chapinero, San Cristóbal, Teusaquillo, and Soacha. The Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá noted that these works are necessary to prevent major pipe damage. Additionally, Enel Colombia has scheduled power outages in several Bogotá neighborhoods, including Bosa, Chapinero, Ciudad Bolívar, Puente Aranda, Suba, and Usme.

In Argentina, the DPEC announced electricity cuts in Corrientes, affecting the capital and several towns like Manuel Derqui and San Isidro, to optimize low and medium voltage networks. In Chile, Enel Distribución is conducting scheduled power outages in Maipú, impacting neighborhoods such as Longitudinal and Industrial.

In Peru, Seal has announced power interruptions in the Arequipa, Caylloma, and Islay provinces to facilitate transformer changes and network maintenance.
