MAISE Museum of Astronomy and Engineering opens in Santiago del Estero

The Museum of Astronomy and Engineering (MAISE) has officially opened in the Technological Node of Santiago del Estero. The project is a collaborative effort between the National University of Santiago del Estero (UNSE), the National University of La Plata (UNLP), and the provincial government through the Secretariat of Science and Technology.

UNSE played a critical role in the development of the museum, specifically providing technical expertise regarding accessibility. This includes infrastructure for people with reduced mobility, Braille signage for the visually impaired, intelligent lighting systems, and specialized acoustics to ensure an inclusive educational and cultural experience.

University Rector Marcelino Ledesma noted that the space aims to connect scientific and technological capabilities with the productive needs of the territory while fostering scientific vocations among students throughout the province.
