Maison Albert Bichot wins world’s best white wine award
Maison Albert Bichot’s Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2024 – Vignoble du Pavillon has been named the ‘Champion White 2026’ by the International Wine Challenge (IWC). The award, which designates it as the world’s best white wine for 2026, was presented during the annual IWC ceremony in London.
The 2024 vintage earned a score of 97 points and a gold medal. In addition to the top title, the wine secured four competition trophies: the Corton-Charlemagne Trophy, the White Burgundy Trophy, the French White Trophy, and the International Chardonnay Trophy.
Albéric Bichot accepted the award, attributing the distinction to the daily efforts of the teams working in the vineyards and wineries. The jury noted the wine’s balance and harmony, describing a profile characterized by citrus, spices, toasted nuts, and stone fruits.
