Maja Chwalińska exits Monterrey Open in singles and doubles

Maja Chwalińska has exited the WTA 500 Monterrey Open after losing in the second round of singles and the quarterfinals of doubles.

In her singles match, the third seed Chwalińska fell to American Alycia Parks with a score of 3:6, 2:6, 2:6. Despite winning the first set and committing zero unforced errors in that period, Chwalińska struggled with passivity in the subsequent sets as Parks utilized her power and aggressive serving to take control of the match.

In the doubles competition, Chwalińska partnered with Sinja Kraus. The duo reached the quarterfinals but were defeated by the team of Shuko Aoyama and En Shuo Liang in a super tie-break, finishing 5:7, 6:3, 4:10. This concludes Chwalińska's tournament in Mexico ahead of her upcoming participation in the US Open.
