Maja Chwalińska reaches Singapore WTA 500 quarterfinals

Maja Chwalińska has advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 Singapore Tennis Open after a dominant performance against Oleksandra Oliynykova. The 24-year-old Polish player won the match in straight sets, 6:0, 6:1, in just under an hour.

Chwalińska, ranked 25th in the WTA, showed significant control throughout the match, limiting her opponent to only one game in the second set. This victory marks her second consecutive win in the tournament, following a victory over Rebecca Šramková. The win secures Chwalińska 108 ranking points and a prize of $35,000.

Her next opponent in the quarterfinals will be Elise Mertens, who advanced after Barbora Krejcikova withdrew due to injury. Chwalińska's coach, Jaroslav Machovsky, noted that her recent form indicates a successful return to her previous level following a period of recovery from injury.
