Maja Chwalińska gets Wimbledon wildcard, starts grass‑court training in London

Maja Chwalińska, the 24‑year‑old Polish tennis player who reached the Roland Garros final, was granted a wildcard into the main draw of Wimbledon. She arrived in London and began training on the grass courts at Aorangi Park, where she was photographed alongside top competitors Aryna Sabalenka, Emma Raducanu and Coco Gauff. The Championships are scheduled for 29 June – 12 July, and Chwalińska is placed 20th in the draw, potentially meeting defending champion Iga Świątek in later rounds. Outside the court, Chwalińska attended school in Poland, where teachers praised her academic results and sporting talent before she devoted herself fully to a professional tennis career.
