Maja Chwalińska reaches world No. 21 as Polish players fill four spots in WTA top‑60
The WTA released its weekly rankings on 8 June 2026. Aryna Sabalenka leads the list, followed by Jelena Rybakina and Iga Świątek in third place. Polish teenager Maja Chwalińska surged 93 positions to No. 21 after reaching the French Open final, marking a record climb.
Four Polish women now appear inside the top 60: Świątek at No. 3, Chwalińska at No. 21, Magdalena Fręch at No. 43 and Magda Linette at No. 60. Their strong performances, especially at Roland Garros, have secured them entry into upcoming WTA Tour events for the next year.
The new rankings also list other leading players such as Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva, but the headline for Poland is the unprecedented presence of four compatriots among the world’s elite.
