Maja Chwalińska to face Alycia Parks in Tokyo WTA 500 rematch

Maja Chwalińska, the world number 11, has been drawn to face American Alycia Parks in the second round of the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo. As the second seed, Chwalińska received a bye in the first round.

The match serves as a rematch of their encounter in Monterrey two months ago, where Parks defeated Chwalińska in three sets after the Pole won the opening set. Parks enters the match following a victory over Xinyu Wang, winning 6-1, 7-6(7).

The tournament is the final WTA 500 event of the year and features Jelena Rybakina as the top seed. Chwalińska, who recently secured her first WTA title in Wuhan, is looking to maintain her momentum in the Japanese capital.
