Majestic Wine launches £4m store expansion with new Trowbridge outlet

Majestic Wine Group is investing £4 million in its bricks‑and‑mortar estate for 2026/27, beginning with a new 4,145 sq ft shop in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. The store carries the full range of more than 1,000 wines, including a dedicated area for 72 fine wines, and offers daily tastings, free glass hire and bespoke services. The outlet also supports the company's B2B arm, Majestic Commercial, which supplies gastropubs, bars and restaurants in the region. Executive chairman and CEO John Colley said the opening marks the start of an important year of investment and underlines confidence in experiential retail.

The expansion plan foresees at least four new stores and a programme of upgrades to existing UK sites, aiming to strengthen the retailer's physical presence after a recent drop in pre‑tax profit.
