Majid Magray to captain India's mixed disability cricket team at Lord's

Jammu and Kashmir cricketer Majid Magray, who endured long daily commutes of 50‑60 kilometres and a five‑year wait for an India cap, has been appointed captain of India's mixed disability cricket team. The team, selected by the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI), will face England in a seven‑match T20 series staged across Derby, Leicester, Hove, Arundel and concluding at Lord's in London.

The series runs from August 5 to 19, with the final match at Lord's on August 19. Magray’s appointment highlights the growing profile of disability cricket in India and showcases the sport’s inclusive format, bringing together players with various physical and sensory impairments.
