Majo Aguilar releases mariachi version of José José classic

Majo Aguilar has released a mariachi version of the iconic song ‘Almohada’, originally performed by José José. The new rendition is part of her upcoming album ‘Caprichos’, a collection inspired by songs that have influenced generations. The track explores themes of loss, solitude, and devotion through a musical lens tied to Mexican identity.

This release precedes her performance at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City on November 13, where she will be accompanied by a mariachi band. Aguilar, who serves as the first female ambassador for the World Mariachi Congress, has achieved over 549 million global streams. Her recent accolades include nominations for the 2026 Rolling Stone en Español Awards and the HEAT Awards.
