Major art exhibitions announced for Oman and Qatar

Major art initiatives are launching in the Middle East. In Oman, the Bilarab bin Haitham Initiatives will host the fifth edition of Muscat Art from October 28 to 30. Held in partnership with the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event will feature works from over 300 artists. The exhibition aims to support artists and create a dialogue between artists, architects, and designers, expanding the initiatives' focus from architecture into visual arts.

In Qatar, the inaugural edition of Rubaiya Qatar is set to begin on November 21 across various venues in Doha. Presented by Qatar Museums in collaboration with ALRIWAQ Arts + Architecture, the quadrennial has announced more than 120 participating artists. The event will consist of three separate shows and a public art component. The lead exhibition, titled ‘Unruly Waters,’ will feature approximately 54 artists and collectives, with 30 presenting new commissions.
