Major Atanas Uzunov Sports School unveils renovated facilities in Ruse

The Major Atanas Uzunov Sports School in Ruse has officially unveiled its renovated main building following a series of state-funded infrastructure projects. The modernization of the main building was completed with an investment of approximately 1.5 million euros provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Additional development projects are currently underway at the facility. This includes the renovation of the school dormitory, a project valued at approximately 920,000 euros expected to conclude by the end of the year, and the construction of a new physical education hall costing roughly 1.25 million euros. The school is also participating in the Erasmus+ ‘Future Coach Pro’ project, a 61,000 euro initiative focused on modernizing training processes through digital monitoring and educational mobility in Portugal and Sweden.

During the official opening, Minister of Youth and Sports Encho Keryazov emphasized the importance of providing young talents with the necessary conditions to develop their potential. He met with local Ruse officials to discuss regional sports infrastructure and the continued cooperation between state and local authorities to support young athletes.
