Major Cinemaplex Group debuts world‑first SCREENX‑shot Spider‑Man film in Thailand

Major Cinemaplex Group, Thailand's leading cinema chain, announced a partnership with CJ 4DPLEX to bring the superhero film Spider‑Man: Brand New Day to its SCREENX venues. The film is the world’s first to be shot specifically for the SCREENX format, using three 270‑degree panoramic screens that surround the audience for more than 80 minutes of immersive action.

The project was developed with CJ 4DPLEX, Sony Pictures and director Destin Daniel Cretton, employing Arri Alexa 265 and Sony Venice 2 cameras to capture scenes designed for the three‑screen presentation. Screenings will be limited to the Paragon Cinemaplex (293 seats) and Mega Cinemaplex (240 seats) starting 30 July 2026, offering Thai movie‑goers a world‑class cinematic experience unavailable in standard theaters.
