Multiple residential and commercial fires reported across France and Guinea

A series of fires occurred across several regions between October 25 and October 27, 2026, affecting residential homes, businesses, and public buildings.

In France, several incidents were reported: a scooter repair workshop in Nice led to the evacuation of a man and left ten people affected by smoke; a house in Rennes resulted in a worker suffering serious burns to his hands; and an apartment fire in Toulon required the hospitalization of one resident. Other local incidents included a dryer-related fire in Novillars that caused the death of a pet dog, a fryer fire in Berck-sur-Mer, and roof fires in Ticheville and Ozoir-la-Ferrière.

In Guinea, a fire in the Bordo district of Kankan destroyed a room belonging to a merchant, resulting in the loss of merchandise and 3.5 million GNF in cash and personal documents. No casualties were reported in the Kankan incident.
