Major industrial investments announced in India's manufacturing sector
Jaya Hind Industries (JHI) has announced an expanded investment plan of ₹600 crore to bolster its aluminium die-casting and machining capabilities. The company will deploy the funds in phases during FY2026–27 and FY2027–28 across its manufacturing sites in Pune and Chennai. This includes the establishment of a new facility in Chennai equipped with over 12 High Pressure Die Casting machines and a dedicated powder-coating facility to enhance product durability and process control.
Separately, the Hinduja Group has committed to investing ₹2,500 crore in Tamil Nadu. This large-scale investment targets several sectors, including renewable energy, electric mobility, automotive, and digital mobility solutions. Key initiatives include the development of 200 MW renewable energy projects involving solar, wind, and battery technologies, as well as the operationalization of electric buses for public transport through OHM Global Mobility Limited.
