Major industry conferences conclude in Singapore

Singapore recently hosted two significant industry events: the TOKEN2049 cryptocurrency conference and the ITB Asia travel trade show.

TOKEN2049 attracted approximately 25,000 attendees from 160 countries to the Marina Bay Sands. The event featured 250 speakers and 500 exhibitors, with discussions focusing on payments, tokenization, and stablecoin utility. A notable development included a partnership between World Liberty Financial and ZIG Finance, aimed at utilizing the USD1 stablecoin for real-world investment opportunities through yield-bearing vaults.

ITB Asia, Asia’s largest travel trade show, concluded at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre with over 18,000 participants and 1,000 exhibiting brands. The event focused on human-centered design in travel and tourism. During the conference, the ITB Asia Select initiative was launched, with Indonesia announced as the first destination for a regional expansion scheduled for June 2027.
