Mexican state enterprises meet operational and financial goals
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo reported that several state-run enterprises, including Mexicana de Aviación, the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), the Tren Maya, and Grupo Mundo Maya, are meeting their monthly objectives according to their established strategic plans.
Sheinbaum noted that these entities have reached a point of equilibrium, meaning they generate sufficient revenue to cover operational costs without requiring additional federal budget support. The President expressed satisfaction with the progress made during the first two years of her administration, stating that the projects are advancing in line with the government's long-term commitments.
Specific performance metrics were highlighted: Mexicana de Aviación has transported 1,276,152 users, AIFA has handled 22,661,800 passengers, and the Tren Maya has moved 2,944,000 passengers. Additionally, AIFA has reached a milestone of over 22.6 million passengers since its opening in March 2022 and has become a leader in national air cargo transport.
