MLB brings MLBx 3‑on‑3 baseball to Mumbai, featuring Indian cricket star Suryakumar Yadav

Major League Baseball announced that its fast‑paced 3‑on‑3 competition, MLBx, will be staged in Mumbai on 24 October 2026 at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri Sports Complex. The event, described as a T20‑style version of baseball, will showcase India’s T20 World Cup‑winning captain and MLB ambassador Suryakumar Yadav alongside former MLB All‑Stars Nick Swisher and Adrian González.

MLBx has previously been held at 15 U.S. venues and in cities such as London, Seoul and Mexico City. MLB’s senior vice‑president of global operations and events, Jeremiah Yolkut, said India is “one of the world’s most exciting locations for large‑scale events and a massive growth opportunity for baseball.” The league’s expansion in India is supported by partnerships with RISE Worldwide (a Reliance Industries subsidiary) and JioStar. MLB reported record revenue of $12.1 billion in 2024, underscoring its financial strength as it seeks to broaden the sport’s global footprint.
